✨ Two Colors, One Mood.
This setup uses yellow and blue gels on the backdrop to create a natural gradient that feels like nightlife without any props. The key light stays neutral to protect skin tones while the background carries all the attitude.
The trick is separation. Let color live on the backdrop and keep the subject clean so the tones never compete. Just one soft key, two controlled gels, and a black dress that catches every highlight.

The trick here is restraint. You don’t light what you don’t want to show. By keeping the background and the coat almost disappearing into the shadows, the warmth feels like it’s coming from the scene itself, not from a flash.
